FREEDOM DRIVE I®

When snow, mud or steep gravel describe your route, opt for Freedom Drive I, standard on all 4x4 models. The active, full-time 4x4 capability with LOCK mode features an Electronically Controlled Coupling (ECC), which constantly monitors wheel slippage and transfers torque to the axle that can use it most. In tough conditions, the system can be locked 50/50 front/ rear for added capability and control up to 55 km/h.

FREEDOM DRIVE II®

This optional system gives Patriot its Trail Rated® capability with features like full-time 4x4 with LOCK mode, Hill Descent Control and Off-Road mode with a 19:1 crawl ratio. Torque is adjusted on demand for added fuel efficiency. Its all-weather capability expertly handles more difficult off-road situations, as well as deeper snow, mud and up to 48 cm (19 inches) of water.
